The Black Woman

I started a journey on my twitter account (my genuine name) about my adventure as a black woman in our 21st century society. I needed to think back over this in 20 years or so to check whether advancement will ever be made with regards to Black Women. I typically don’t permit my personal life and professional life to concur, however I feel this is totally vital to my hashtag #JourneyOfABlackWoman. (You can find my account by searching the hashtag).

After watching Beyonce’s “Lemonade”, I loved the raw, vulnerability, sex appeal, beautiful, courageous spirit the visual album expounded upon. I hear words so profound that I needed to see the video and I found it.

Take a look at the words Malcom X spoke about black women.

Its a shame that those words are still relevant almost forty years later.
